How to Delete Your Account
We're sorry to see you go. You can request the deletion of your Detailers account and all associated data using either of the methods below.
Option 1: Delete from the App

Open the Detailers app on your device

Go to the Profile tab (bottom right)

Scroll down and tap "Delete Account"

Confirm the deletion when prompted
Option 2: Request via Email
If you can't access the app, send an email to the address below from the email associated with your account. Include "Delete My Account" in the subject line.

We will process your request within 7 business days and send a confirmation email once complete.
What Data Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed or anonymized:
- Profile information — name, email, phone number, avatar
- Saved addresses — all saved locations
- Vehicles — all saved vehicles
- Conversations and messages — all chat history
- Rewards and points — tier status, points balance, transaction history
- Payment methods — all saved cards (also removed from Stripe)
- Notification preferences — push token and settings
What Data May Be Retained
For legal, financial, and safety reasons, certain data may be retained for a limited period:
- Booking records — anonymized transaction history retained for up to 3 years for tax and accounting purposes
- Payment records — Stripe transaction records retained as required by financial regulations
- Protection claims — records of any filed claims retained for dispute resolution (up to 1 year after resolution)
- Reviews — may be anonymized rather than deleted to maintain review integrity
Important: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Any active bookings will be cancelled, active memberships or subscriptions will be terminated, and accumulated rewards points will be forfeited. Please make sure to cancel any upcoming bookings before requesting deletion.
