We collect the following types of information when you use the Detailers App:
Account Information: name, email address, phone number, and password when you create an account.
Profile Information: profile photo, saved addresses, vehicle information, and payment preferences.
Booking Information: service history, booking details, reviews, ratings, and communication through in-app chat.
Location Data: your address for service delivery, and with your permission, your device location for features like nearby detailer search.
Device Information: device type, operating system, app version, and unique device identifiers for app functionality and analytics.
Payment Information: payment method details are processed securely through our payment processor (Stripe) and are not stored on our servers.
We use the collected information to: provide and improve the Detailers platform and services; match you with available Detailers in your area; process bookings and payments; send booking confirmations, reminders, and service updates via email and push notifications; manage your Rewards Program (points, tiers, redemptions); enable in-app communication between Customers and Detailers; prevent fraud, enforce our Terms of Service, and maintain platform integrity; analyze usage patterns to improve user experience; and send promotional offers and marketing communications (with your consent).
With Detailers: when you book a service, the assigned Detailer receives your name, service address, vehicle information, and booking details necessary to perform the service. Your phone number and email are not shared directly.
With Service Providers: we use third-party services for payment processing (Stripe), email delivery (Resend), and analytics. These providers only receive the minimum information necessary to perform their functions.
For Legal Compliance: we may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or government request.
Business Transfers: in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale, user information may be transferred as part of the business assets.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL), secure database storage with row-level security policies, encrypted payment processing through Stripe, and access controls limiting employee access to user data. While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.
The in-app chat system includes automated filters that detect and block sharing of personal contact information (phone numbers, email addresses, social media handles, payment handles). This is implemented to protect both Customers and Detailers by ensuring all transactions occur through the platform's secure systems, which include satisfaction guarantees, payment protection, and dispute resolution. Chat messages are stored on our servers and may be reviewed in the event of a dispute or policy violation investigation.
You have the right to:
Access: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
Correction: update or correct inaccurate information through your profile settings or by contacting us.
Deletion: request deletion of your account and associated data, subject to legal retention requirements.
Opt-out: unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time through app settings or email links.
Data Portability: request your data in a machine-readable format.

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Booking history and reviews are retained for 3 years after account closure for legal and dispute resolution purposes. Rewards points and tier history are retained for 1 year after account closure. Chat messages are retained for 1 year after the associated booking is completed. You may request earlier deletion by contacting us, subject to legal requirements.
The Detailers App is not intended for use by individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information.
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete your personal information, and the right to opt-out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information). We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
